Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically mixed family. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, and her mother is English. She was raised on the south London Council Estate and was a student at The Brit School aged 14. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. At the academy and performing in numerous stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began in the series Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. She then was the lead in Elisha on a BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie for six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. Also, the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe was a part of the comedic How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). The credits she has in her theatre work are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut on the drama The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast in the US on The CW before being cancelled. In February, she was cast 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. In May of 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe, who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the two previous seasons, had decided to quit the show after a guest-appearance in the premier episode of the season's new episode. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred in the role of Tituba in the TV series Salem. Her long-time friend, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared together in Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty and her other siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. Ashley's brothers were athletic and were avid baseball players during the summer months and hockey during winters. Ashley did not have the ability to walk but she was able to dance. At the age of two, she began Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley was enthralled by dance following this. Ashley continued to compete until her high-school graduation with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and much more. The important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the honor of "top Soloist".
