Mitchell's friend Angela was killed in a traffic accident when she was fifteen years old. Mitchell was devastated by this and composed the track Angel for Angela on her debut album. In her 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she also talked about her experiences.
